Wanda was born in New Westminster in British Columbia, Canada to Harry Johnson and Gloria Johnson. Wanda was educated in the Snohomish School District, then continued education at Everett Community College. She spent her early years working at the Snohomish County Courthouse as an auditor. It was during this time that she met the love of her life Gary Bruns. Wanda and Gary were blessed with a marriage of 44 years residing in Anacortes, WA. During those years, Wanda also worked as a hospital lab courier and volunteered for the American Red Cross.
Wanda had many friends that she treasured, these friendships lasted her lifetime. She would always make herself available to help her friends and family. Wanda loved and enjoyed spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren, and extended family. The love, care, and, concern she showed her loved ones was a gift to those who knew and loved her.
Wanda is predeceased by her Mother Gloria Johnson, Father Harry Johnson, and Sister Sonia Hansen.
Wanda is survived by her husband Gary Bruns, son Chris Bruns (Elisa), and daughter Melissa Black (David), and 5 grandchildren.
Burial will be in Arlington Cemetery in Arlington, WA.
The family will receive friends at Bauer Funeral Chapel in Snohomish, WA on January 15th, 2022 at 2:00 PM. Committal services will take place immediately following. A light lunch will also be provided.
