Former East Grand Forks, MN, resident Lyle Donald Krueger died on March 30, 2022 in Tacoma, WA.
Funeral services will be at 12:30 p.m. on April 11 at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Puyallup, WA.
Lyle was born in East Grand Forks and was the oldest of four children to Albert and Helen (Kiel) Krueger. He attended a country school a mile west of the family farm before graduating from high school in East Grand Forks in 1953.
He met Helen Nelson in Grand Forks, ND, in 1957, when she shared an apartment with his two sisters. They married in December, 1958 and went on to have six children.
Lyle, Helen and their family made homes in East Grand Forks and Grand Forks and Lyle’s jobs took them to Missouri, Arizona, California and eventually they settled in Washington, first in Federal Way and then in Puyallup.
Lyle had a variety of jobs including careers at Frontier Airlines and Ecolab.
He is preceded in death by his wife. He is survived by his brother, Walter, and his children, Larry (Sheralyn), Jodie (Molly Blue), Terry, Jerry (Heather), Rodney and Amie (Jim Brandmire), 11 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
